We're an Impact 100 Finalist!

WEST SACRAMENTO, CA — Mosaic West Sac, formerly the Mercy Coalition of West Sacramento, is honored to announce its selection as the Health & Wellness finalist for the 2025 Impact100 Greater Sacramento grants, putting the organization in the running for up to $100,000 in transformational funding. This year’s awards total a record-breaking $452,000, the largest in Impact100 Greater Sacramento’s history.

Mosaic West Sac exists to support the region’s most vulnerable neighbors—including those experiencing homelessness, substance-use challenges, and generational poverty—through a continuum of care. Its programs include emergency food and clothing distribution, the Recovery Café, trauma-informed internships through the Jobs and Mentoring Academy, case management services, and the creation of permanent supportive housing at Mosaic Village.

“This recognition is deeply meaningful for our community,” said Don Bosley, Executive Director of Mosaic West Sac. “With Impact100’s support, we can expand our Recovery Café programming to serve more neighbors each week, while building the sustainability needed to ensure long-term healing, stability, and hope in West Sacramento.”

Mosaic West Sac’s grant proposal focuses on expanding the Recovery Café—a safe and supportive daily space where individuals impacted by trauma, substance-use, or mental-health challenges can receive meals, participate in support groups, and build life skills. Funding would allow the Café to open on Saturdays, expand physical space, and deepen recovery education and outreach.

The expansion is projected to support 1,500 additional visits annually, engage more than 100 unique individuals in programming, and generate long-term sustainability through CalAIM reimbursements and the City of West Sacramento’s Edible Food Recovery program.

“Mosaic West Sac is a lifeline for some of the most vulnerable people in our region,” said Morgan Gonsalves, Health & Wellness Focus Area Chair with Impact100 Greater Sacramento. “Their holistic approach—addressing food, recovery, housing, and employment—creates pathways for stability and dignity. We are proud to highlight them as a finalist this year.”

Impact100 Greater Sacramento will announce the final grant recipients at its Annual Awards Celebration in September, where members will vote to determine which four nonprofits will each receive $100,000 and which will receive $52,000.
